Ralph Germann architectes s.a. project bureau has introduced the DAL chalet in Valais canton, Switzerland. Originally this was an ordinary shed, located at the beautiful territory outside the village. The owner and the architect decided to make it coldproof from inside; therefore the facade of the building has changed a little. At the same time an additional layer of larchwood was constructed inside. The windows are increased in size and made of special glass, allowing to collect and keep the sun heat. The house`s interior turned to be humble, all finishing and furniture is performed of the same material and are small in number. This approach visually enlarges the space of 60 square meters.
