Design firm OFIS Arhitekti redesigned old Alpine barn to the private residence in the village of Bohinjska Bistrica, Slovenia. Architects didn’t change the exterior but completely remade its interior. Wood was chosen as the leading material. Thus, it reflects the needs of the customers and saves local traditions in general. Moreover, the house is surrounded by typical rural barns and farmhouses that make harmony throughout.
There are living room, dining room and bedroom on the ground floor. Closet, bathroom, sauna, kitchen and fireplace are hidden in a specially designed box side. Guest bedroom is located on the second floor above the terrace and can be viewed from a two-level living area.
