The Guy Hollaway Architects firm has implemented the project of Pobble House in Kent, England. This region is a reserve since the approach to the building was especial. Thereby it was important that new home does not exceed the size of the previous one and the foundation does not occupy large area. The residence was built with high quality, durable materials that can withstand the harsh climate. All of this should match the narrow frames of budget – 250 thousand pounds.
The flat landscape and unusual nature with its rare fishing sources have inspired the authors for original decision. The foundation partly raises above the ground and has convenient side that serves as a terrace. The house consist of three blocks. Spacious family living room and dining room with the kitchen occupy one block. The windows of the dining room offers a great panoramic view. Two bedrooms, which can easily accommodate two families, is in the other blocks.
The house was designed with the maximum optimization of energy consumption due to the lack of gas in the region. There was installed solar panels on the flat roof that produce enough energy for a full lighting and heating the home.
