Architects from MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects studio have presented the project called Clear Lake Cottage, which is located at Ontario province (Canada). The private house belongs to the family of five and is used as a country residence for rest at any time of the year. Initially this building was constructed in 1950 and was replaced with a modern cottage of 215 square meters, which became perfectly embedded into the surrounding nature. Pristine forest and mountain lake create a great vicinity, whereas clean air, absolute silence and absence of neighbours are so popular among dwellers of big cities.
The country residence has four functional zones: a living room, main bedroom, additional rooms and service rooms. The building is projected to be as open as possible in order to increase closeness to nature. Qualitative finishing of natural materials helps to achieve this goal as well.
