A marvelous country house with modern functional design was developed by Olson Kundig studio and built at Winthrop valley (Washington, the USA) in 2015. The house was called Studhorse; it consists of 4 independent buildings, which aren`t conjoined together, and occupies 379 sq. meters. The buildings are located across the perimeter of the land plot and create the cozy courtyard. The cantilever roofs and fence roofs allow to comfortably spend time outdoors at any weather.
The buildings are created of modern eco-friendly materials. Metal constructions perfectly comply with modern panoramic windows and wooden panels. Being located circle-wise the buildings allow enjoying the panoramic view of the beautiful valley. Possibility to fully open glass wall panels makes the interior closer to the outstanding nature. The living room and social premises are located at the building with the highest ceiling. Other buildings accommodate bedrooms and children`s rooms, as well as guests` apartments. The fourth building has the sauna inside. The interior is performed in the modern style. Plenty of wooden items, as well as bright textile and décor items fill the space with warmth and coziness.
