This country house has 130 square meters, is located in Trakai (Lithuania) and is introduced by Aketuri Architektai studio. The building is rather small, has large windows and harmonizes with the surrounding riotous green. The architects tried to recreate the traditional Lithuanian rural architecture in a new manner in order to provide the customer with the possibility to rest in the nature surroundings with all the comfort. The house`s shapes are mainly traditional, yet have some modern elements. The roof is eye-catching as it segues into the wall. Another part of the house has sliding semi-transparent walls, which allow to remove all borders between the building and nature.
The owners may carry out maintenance of the house in a short terms due to the use of Thermowood as the main material for outer finishing. The atmosphere of comfort is felt inside the house. High ceilings of two stories in height create the feeling of space, and white colour helps to increase it. A big amount of natural light enters the room via large windows. There is a small guest zone with an armchair and sofa, created near the modern fireplace. The dining zone is located nearby and is represented by the traditional wooden table of light colour. The second floor accommodates the library, bedroom and bathroom.
