There is a popular camping called Marina di Venezia within 20 minutes walking distance from Venice. Matteo Thun, the talented designer and architect from Matteo Thun & Partners bureau, has decided to build thirteen compact bungalows here. The main idea was to combine comfort and closeness to nature.
Small houses of Garden Villas remind traditional Italian palazzos with small yards, yet in miniature and with elements of modernity. These constructions were organically inserted into the surrounding nature. There are two living zones in each villa, which are located opposite one another. One part of the house accommodates two bedrooms and a bathroom, whereas the opposite part of the house contains a spacious living room with kitchen and the second bathroom. The spaces are divided by greened terrace and opened patio zone.

One of the priorities for the Garden Villas architects was to preserve the pine trees. There are several big trees in every house, which were turned into the design elements. Moreover, bungalows are constructed of eco-friendly materials, which guarantee solid acoustic reduction and thermal isolation of premises. The floor inside and outside the house is stoned with natural stones and the house itself is coated with larch panels. This material deteriorates in a natural and very beautiful manner, which makes the bungalow look outstanding and supports the local colours at the time.
