2016 is an important year for Tubes: the company is showing its new innovative products at the Salone Internazionale del Bagno and, soon before the Milan Design Week, it also presents the new catalogue, which is the expression of the company’s style, the evidence of its growth and the desire to exalt its design, creativity and ability to interpret the needs of contemporary living through unique projects and products.
Now it’s time for a different catalogue, a story through pictures in 264 pages that can describe such a complex concept as Tubes. The iconographic language of the photogra pher Max Zambelli expresses the company’s focus on inspiration and contamination from different worlds leading to international, polyhedral aesthetics with strong colour tones. Intense images focusing on the product conceived as an item integrated into its space and giving life to a new iconography of the domestic environment.
NEW ERA FOR TUBES
An important step, which highlights a series of successes marking over twenty years of business. A new way of appearing and emphasizing the values that have made a brand great, changing the way radiators are conceived. The new Tubes catalogue is an experience. It is the chance to get to know a world based on research, innovation and design. It is the desire to find out more about the details, style and technologies used. It is a clear expression of the ability to give shape to heat.
An arrival point and a new departure, a significant step to remember and a change of pace to report. The new Tubes catalogue is all this. It is the expression of the company’s style, the evidence of its growth and the desire to exalt its design, creativity and ability to interpret the needs of contemporary living through unique projects and products.
A trend that comes from afar, a mindset that is in the DNA of Tubes and that has defined its objectives right from the start, back in 1992: transforming a technical component into a real furnishing item, increasing the functions of the radiator to bring the form of heat up to date. Tubes has created successful products with high sculptural value – elegant, refined, iconic, but also fun and ironic radiators, which have won numerous international awards and have brought “heat to all homes”, heated all environments and made all spaces cosy.
Now it’s time for a different catalogue, a story through pictures that can describe such a complex concept as Tubes but which is able, at the same time, to go further, beyond the wide range and numerous collections. This is how Roberto Palomba, who has worked on the company’s Art Direction with Ludovica Serafini since 2003, describes the concept of the catalogue: “We have designed the new Tubes image catalogue with the Tubes team, to show how the world of radiators has evolved, thanks to the work of the company, both in the technical and the aesthetic sense”.
The iconographic language of the photographer Max Zambelli expresses the company’s focus on inspiration and contamination from different worlds leading to international, polyhedral aesthetics with strong colour tones. Intense images focusing on the product conceived as an item integrated into its space and giving life to a new iconography of the domestic environment.
It is precisely on this aspect that Tubes has always worked, developing radiators with a strongly distinctive design, able to give all environments an identity with its presence. Original proposals, marked by the harmonic balance of the proportions, the attention to detail, the ability to communicate with the other architectural elements and with the bathroom but that’s not all. Modularity, versatility and different installation and assembly possibilities let everyone interpret their own element also from a dimensional perspective and make it fit into the space where it is installed, both from an aesthetic viewpoint and to satisfy the heating requirements. In its projects, Tubes does not forget the respect for the environment, water savings, the use of 100% recyclable materials or the use of nanotechnology treatments, together with the concepts of beauty, functionality and sustainability.
The pictures in the catalogue show every radiator set in a different environment, ranging from residential to public settings, from homes to hotels and offices. Contexts and settings where the innovation and design of Tubes radiators contribute to defining a cosy and elegant atmosphere, an expression of the personal desire to be surrounded by furnishings and items that reflect our personality.
Innovative solutions, collections that underline the new way of conceiving and interpreting radiators today, project that are advanced from a technological viewpoint but that do not neglect the artisan component and passion of qualified technicians and operators. Alongside technological innovation, other essential aspects are the manual contribution, the in-depth knowledge of materials and processes, the know-how which, during the design and implementation stage, made it possible to develop over the years the right mix of skills that has generated constant growth.
This growth is proven by the success of the collections and has led Tubes to be recognized not only as a pioneer but also a point of reference in the industry, with a turnover of Euro 9,600,000 for 2015, a 3% positive increase.
Tubes is a company with strong roots in its territory but also a strong predilection towards internationalization, which is shown by its distribution in over 70 countries. Its exports are now worth 28% of total production, but growth in some markets is very marked. Currently the foreign market is mainly European with over 90% of the total, proving the constant attention of an evolved public constantly attentive to the quality of an Italian product with added value. The remaining 10% is split into Asia (7%), the Americas (1%) and North Africa (2%).
Roberto Palomba attempts to summarize the company’s soul and the mission of the new catalogue: “Tubes’ Image Catalogue is presented as a story consistent with what Tubes represents today, a different company which doesn’t produce simple radiators but which has always given them that original sensuality in furnishings mixed with interior contemporaneity”.
Tubes is the evolution of an entrepreneurial reality that boasts twenty years’ experience in the radiator and towel heater sector. The company is situated in the heart of the North-East since its foundation in 1994 and has been sensitive to understanding the market’s expectations. Tubes has focused on innovation to create its own distinctive identity, working intensely on research and experimentation in the technical and aesthetic field, as well as on materials, working methods, forms and dimensions. Here are Tubes’ three most popular collections: Basics, Extras and Elements. The latter, under the artistic direction of Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, is responsible for giving radiators a new identity, also thanks to the stylistic contribution of leading names in international design, transforming a mere component of the central heating system into a high-tech element within an architectural structure. www.tubesradiatori.com
