The private Wave house was designed by Studio APOLLO Architects & Associates in the Japanese city of Fujisawa. The owner of the residence works in an advertising agency, and loves surfing. He has purchased the land lot in the coastal area to build a cozy house for a family.
The U-shaped design of the residence allowed designers to arrange all the rooms around a courtyard; thus, they are always filled with light. So, it is really convenient for the owner to have an access to the bathroom directly from the yard after the beach. There is also an office and children’s room. The second floor of the house was made with a small offset to form a shed for parking. The upper level is an open-space: on the first side of the courtyard there is a kitchen and living room, and on the second there is another living room.
