Patios always play an important role in traditional Latin American architecture. The new project by Andres Stebelski firm allows to get fresh look at their structure. Voluminous blocks, which are opened and closed, flow from one to another. As a result, the boundaries between interior and exterior space are lost.
The building resembles a three-dimensional chessboard where each room is a cage and a patio alternates with indoors.
Metal construction, which serves as a visual frame of the building, adds a strict geometric shape, but at the same time, it doesn’t create the effect of a heavy or too massive structure. Also, large glass walls give an extra lightness.
Vegetation plays an important role in blurring the house boundaries. The trees around the house, in the patios, and indoors create the illusion of continuous miniature forest. The nature gets inside the villa and make it a part of wildlife.
