Salina historic villa, located in Sicily (Italy), was recently renovated by the architects Viviana Pitrolo and Francesco Puglisi. The building was originally constructed as far back as the end of VIII century and it took a lot of efforts to renovate it. The architects decided to leave the building`s façade unchanged and concentrated their main restoration efforts on the external walls and interior creation. Finishing of this residence includes natural materials, typical for the given region. The first room a guest visits is a spacious living room, conjoined with a dining room and entering the courtyard. Modern furniture stays in perfect contrast with the historic design of the building.
