Couto Arquitetura project bureau implemented decoration of interior in the apartment of 240 sq. meters, located at Sao Paulo (Brazil). This apartment is situated inside the building, constructed as far back as 1964. The feature of this design is unusual partitions. They divide functional zones, contain no doors, and yet keep the privacy of the premises. There is minimum furniture in the spacious living room; however it is filled with plenty of light and warmth. One wall is fully occupied with open-file stand of white colour. Moreover, the owners removed the massive dining table. Instead of it a light and big table of rectangular shape was placed. This table is equipped with simple lighting fixtures. Together with the concrete finishing they represent loft style. Stylish partition hides the zone of kitchen, working cabinet and bedroom. The kitchen has rectangular shape and is equipped with everything necessary for comfortable cooking. The partition here isn’t solid, yet is latticed; such approach helped to make the premises more open and to visually connect the kitchen and dining room.
The designers decided to remove semi-recessed balcony and created small-type winter garden instead. Electrical lighting fixtures provide necessary light to the plants here.
The idea of spacious bedroom was also rejected and small cabinet was created with a little place, right for the wide bed. The clothes are stored at the inbuilt wardrobes. The bedroom is located at the small podium, covered with white tiles with minutiae. The round acryl bath looks rather stylish and was chosen by the owners themselves.
