The Barbecue House project was implemented by the ABESTUDIO architect bureau on the picturesque slope with a view on the Panguipulli Lake and Villarrica volcanoe in Chile. This house is made of glass and wood, has 187 sq. meters and is created for the outdoors rest. The closed barbecue place unites the family members under the same roof. Reuse of the materials left after the housebreaking of the customer`s city residence in Santiago is an important feature of this residence.

The space of this country residence is opened and conjoins all functional zones. The southern façade (turned to the forest) is made closed, whereas the rest of the house is performed in glass. The central part of the first floor is rendered suitable for the daylight area with the living room and dining room. The mezzanine floor is occupied by the bedroom and bathroom. There are mechanical rooms and the rest zone with four beds at the southern part of the building. All furniture for the project is made by the local craftsmen.
