Thomas Kroeger Architects project bureau has transfigured an old barn into stylish and functional country loft “LANDHAUS”. It is located at a small German village north of Berlin. The barn was of 140 years old and was subsequently renovated and rebuilt into the two-apartment house, one part of which is now belongs to a young family.
Double-level living room with a fireplace occupies the central zone of the apartment. Large archways with wooden sliding doors provide the view on the garden near the house and illimitable green outbound spaces. There is a kitchen and dining zone near the living room. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two cabinets and a recessed balcony are located upstairs. Another feature of the house`s internal space is that the central hall is surrounded by rooms. There are isolated apartments for guests, who may reach their place via both separate entrance and central hall.
