La Lagartija house was developed by Alexandro Velazquez Moreno architecture company at Valle de Bravo (Mexico). This private residence of 1 090 sq. meters is created for rest and consists of the main house and stand-alone bungalow, where the owners accommodate their guests and relatives, or which is rented out. They are harmonically inbuilt into the surrounding nature and allow to enjoy beautiful view, fresh breeze and water noise.
The architects use metal, stone, wood in decor; and the combination of different textures resulted in fascinating architectural image, which is so typical for this region. The crucial attention was paid to nature; the architects kept almost all greenery on the lot unchanged and put the building into irregular shape with acute angles. The designers managed to create an energy-effective system due to the natural ventilation and lighting, as well as due to the special facade heat insulation.
