Bates Masi + Architects firm has recently presented a suburban residence Piersons Way in East Hampton, NY, USA. Detached mansion is located in small village near the ocean and is owned by a young couple who was looking for a suitable house for its growing family. All the neighboring residences are made more conservative. However, Piersons Way looks both modern and quite modest that allows it not to standouts.
The first floor is designed for relaxation and guests, while the second is intended for family. A spa area, outdoor dining area and a green terrace overlooking the ocean are in the courtyard. All the materials were chose in traditional style. It means that it is usually used for finishing agricultural buildings, thus it includes cedar wood and steel. So they are durable and look stylish. The interior is presented by unique pieces of furniture which were made especially for this project.
