The private residence Casa de Seixas is located on the Atlantic coast, in the small town of Camino in northern Portugal. The house was designed according to the project of the architectural studio Castro Calapez Arquitectos. Designers used chocolate brown palette with the dominance of wooden elements and made the interior of the house modern and stylish.
Different elements of a rustic style were used not accidentally but to create a cozy atmosphere and special mood. Colored mats with the traditional for these places pattern, bright textiles and decorative handmade wooden items make the interior colorful and raise the spirits. Also, smooth concrete floors blend perfectly with the warmth of wooden elements.

Large open space of the residence is filled with natural light. Owners could feel themselves as a part of nature admiring the scenery of the mountains and the sea through glass wall panels and windows. Moreover, dark color palette does not look grim because of the large area of glazing in the house. Conversely, it radiates warmth and makes the atmosphere cozy. The interior is decorated harmoniously with the exterior of the house: the color of the facade imitates the color of natural wood, thus it fit into the surrounding landscape.
