The designer Alvaro Uribe has demonstrated the new properties of material, used for furniture manufacturing. He created a chair of carbon fiber. This material is such yielding, that it can be of omniform. The designer has displayed this unique feature by creating two legs and a sitting out of bended plastic.
The designer has called his masterpiece the Plum Stool. This chair is, primarily, a kind of study into the feasibility of carbon fiber. This material could become indispensable at manufacturing of both office and house furniture thanks to its outstanding strength and exceptional levity. Plum Stool weighs only 300 gram.
