Mario Tsai, a young Chinese designer from ZZ Design studio has invented the “Power” chair, combining strict geometric shapes of metal carcasses and free concave lines of sitting and back.

The chair is made in minimalist-and-industrial style, which is rather popular nowadays. Despite seeming angularity and deliberate austerity of appearance, this item is ergonomic and provides comfortable sitting. The necessary stiffness is provided by plenty of triangle and trapezoidal shapes in the structure footing. As a result, the chair is able withstand big pressure. It is very convenient to use Power to allocate guests. The rest of the time such chairs could be shut and hidden to clear the space.

Mario Tsai has graduated from Beijing University of Forestry, with a specialty “furniture design and manufacturing”. His main principle of work is to achieve the best visual effect possible and to use the minimum of materials at that. This approach is rather beneficial for manufacturers as it causes less harm to the environment.
