Milhundos private house was developed by architects Graciana Oliveira and Luis Barros in Penafiel city, Portugal. Southern part of the residence provides marvelous view on the valley and river, whereas the northern part is rather noisy due to the presence of the road nearby. The land parcel has a triangular form as well as inclination (up to seven meters difference between the levels) and this stipulated the L-shape of the house. It has a closed facade and significant deepening in comparison with the street level. Therefore the dwellers are protected against unwanted factors, which may shatter their calm. There is a parent’s bedroom, two children rooms for daughters, a rest room, as well as living zone of free planning in the house. Apart from that there is a cozy terrace located under the open sky and closed from prying eyes. It can be combined with the kitchen zone with the help of sliding walls at a warm season.
