The Cozy House, which is the new FORM | Kouichi Kimura Architects’ project, was implemented in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The private house was built on a small crowded area near to the road. The architects have proposed excellent solution of the problem by making the maximum focus on interior design. The garage is situated on the first floor and the remaining space is divided between hallway, lounge, parents’ and children’s bedrooms. The living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom are on the second floor. The changeable height of the ceiling creates the illusion of expanded space. Moreover, the special arrangement of the widows lets in a lot of sunlight and create a curious play of shadows.
