A fireplace almost always becomes a center of any premise in which it is situated. Create a masterpiece at the design stage
If the question of decorating stood before you at the stage of the project, you have a unique opportunity to make the fireplace a real masterpiece. Using the original design and unusual surfaces you can achieve that the fireplace portal will become the main and most vivid decorative elements in the room. At the same time, it will be enough to have few details to emphasize it, or just to do without the decor.
Use logs
Perhaps, the most natural decor for zone at the fireplace they were and remain logs. Carefully cut firewoods, cleaned from dust and dirt in advanced, you can put them in a special niche near the fireplace or into the furnace, if the fireplace is non-working.
